Peace Be With You.

“Each one of you is part of the body of Christ, and you were chosen to live together in peace. So let the peace that comes from Christ control your thoughts. And be grateful.” Colossians 3:15

“Each one of you…”
You! Yes, that means YOU!
You are “part of the body.”
The body of Christ.
“You were chosen…”
You! Yes, you were chosen!
Chosen means set apart, special, and elected.
Chosen to live in peace, harmony, and agreement.
Are you up for the challenge?
The challenge of letting the peace of Christ control you.
Control is a serious word.
Peace in the midst of temper tantrums, peace when they are out past curfew, peace when the whining doesn’t stop, peace when you can’t find quiet time, peace when laundry and dishes want to make you scream.
The peace doesn’t come because you are super human or perfect.
Peace comes from shalom.
Wholeness and completeness that can only come from Christ.
The peace comes because you chose to stop and take a deep breath.
In the midst of the breath you call to Jesus and say “Help me! Help me be your words, actions and thoughts. Help me, please!”
As your breath draws to an end you close your eyes and say “Thank you, Jesus. Thank you for my children. Thank you for the opportunity to learn and grow from you and the blessing of motherhood. Thank you for your peace, Jesus.”
