Overnight camp equaled FREEDOM! You could decide what to eat in the cafeteria, or what you were going to wear, or if you were going to break a rule.
The summer before 7th grade the way I exercised my "camp freedom" was to use a bottle of Sun-In on my hair. Who remembers that stuff?
BAD NEWS!!!
I was determined to be blonde and so I used a bottle on my dark hair. What were the results? They were the same results my mom had ALWAYS told me they would be: ORANGE/REF! And not a pretty red a yucky red. My parents seriously didn't recognize me when they showed up to pick me up. My mom had to take me to a professional to get it fixed before school started. We laugh looking back at it but at the time it wasn't too funny.

I would love to know if you have a "Sun-In" story. Did you exercise your freedom at summer camp or maybe at a sleepover?
P.S. - Isn't my sponge painted outfit with my red ropers seriously AH-mazing!
