“The Samaritan woman said to him, ‘You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?’ (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)” John 4:9
Fitting in. It is tough, even as an adult. As a kid, you think adults must not deal with the nonsense of being cool or having to work to have friends. But sadly, that world still exists. It has always been a constant struggle of mine to feel as if I fit in, to feel as if my ideas are accepted, to feel as if I am not an odd duck, to feel value in who I know I have been created to be. I am thankful for a small group of friends who know me inside and out.
But even more than those special friends, I am thankful for Jesus who asks "Would you please give me a drink of water?" I have called Him my best friend since I was very young. He is always willing to console the tears, dance with the joys, and listen to the mundane. Always.
So truly thankful for this special and close friendship and am especially thankful for my best friend, Jesus <3. Thank you for being who you are and allowing us to be who we are.
