I love gifts! Love them. They are one of my top love languages.
Gifts make me happy, excited, and joyful.
I even have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to gifts I would like to get.
Are you taking my love of gifts seriously, yet?
I LOVE THEM!!! (yes, I am yelling that)
Do I have this same passion for my children?
Hmmmmmmmmm…
I can without hesitation say I love my children. Love, love, love my children. I love them more than my own life. But I can also admit it is easy for me to feel:
irritated rather than happy
annoyed rather than excited
and frustrated rather than joyful.
Please, tell me I am not alone?
While reading Revolutionary Parenting I was reminded of this scripture.
It has now become my parenting scripture mantra.
While I feel irritated I say it.
When I feel annoyed I say it.
When I feel frustrated I say it.
And guess what? It works!
It shifts my perspective, it reminds me what these little creatures truly are, and it makes a better mama.
Amen.
If you are in need of a cure for the frustrated, annoyed, and irritated mama feelings this is your medicine.
