Shine like the stars!

It is time to join Gypsy Mama in Five Minute Fridays. I join in on Thursdays in hopes of encouraging you to get a pen, paper, and stop watch.  Then take the bold step to write for 5 straight minutes without over thinking, editing, or worrying. It can be your to-list it doesn't have to be profound. 

I use my five minutes to reflect on a recent scripture I read.

“Shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life” Philippians 2:1

This verse is just magical sounding. “Shine like stars in the universe”! What does it mean to shine like a star? Be bold, be bright, be willing to bring awe, be illuminating, be story tellers, be change agents, be memory makers, be a light in the midst of darkness, be a guide, be surprising, be beautiful, be vast, be numerous, be awesome. But do it all in the name of sharing God’s word with others. Not for you own gain but for the purpose of letting your life reflect God’s story.
