Why was "Camp Jesus" always more powerful than everyday Jesus?
At my elementary camp there was a night that we all had the opportunity to commit our lives Christ. If you committed your life to Jesus you got to throw a stick in the camp fire. Every year I would throw a stick in the fire. EVERY. YEAR!!!
I liked it, it was fun.
But, I was also hoping that the feeling I had for Jesus while at camp would stick (ha, ha...stick in the fire and stick ;-). Of course it only took the car ride home for that feeling to fade.

I used to think as a kid "Where did He go?" Now of course I have learned that the question is "Where did I go?" He never fades... it is me that lets go. I had to learn that while I love, love, love, the extra "highs" of camp Jesus that we had to workout a everyday Jesus relationship.
What are your memories of "Camp Jesus"?
