Making Memories

·         Sunrise
·         Washington DC
·         Scavenger Hunt
·         Picnic Lunch
What do all these things have in common? They are the memories I hold of celebrating Easter as a child. I LOVED everything about the treats that came with Easter. I actually think it trumped Christmas. As a child, did I connect the dots with the above FUN and Christ’s resurrection? NOPE! But as I look back with adult eyes, I appreciate the way I was taught to REJOICE in this occasion. The traditions established hold so many memory-makers that I NOW associate with Christ rising and providing me with life abundant.
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again, Rejoice” Philippians 4:4
Take some time this week to be intentional about planning your Easter memory-makers for your kids.
Question of the day: What holiday tradition do you value most?
